Ben's New Chapter at Bailey & Patch
Ben is a young adult with autism who faced challenges in speech, focus, and sensory sensitivities from a young age. With his mother's support, he discovered baking — not just as a skill, but as a source of joy and confidence. Through trial and error (including spilled ganache and all!), Ben built a home bakery and found his rhythm in the kitchen. His signature brownies and cookies became symbols of resilience and heart. Now joining the Bailey & Patch family, Ben brings more than talent — he brings a story that reminds us what passion and perseverance can create.

Ben
From Home Baker to Professional
Ben is a young individual with autism who began exploring baking at the age of six. Despite facing sensory challenges and social difficulties during his upbringing, his passion for baking never wavered. Through continuous practice and improvement, he eventually established his own home-based baking brand, Bakes by Ben. Through this brand, Ben not only showcases his baking talents but also actively advocates for neurodiversity, encouraging other individuals with autism to pursue independence and self-expression. His story has inspired many, proving that with persistence and passion, one can overcome challenges and achieve their dreams. Ben's journey has also caught the attention of the media. For instance, Singapore's 96.3 Hao FM radio station interviewed him, sharing his growth story and entrepreneurial journey.

We provide professional training for PWD employees at our bakery, covering roles such as baking assistants and kitchen helpers. We also support them in learning additional skills.
